trying to make something interesting for once. a notion on religion/savior kinda stuff, which is how medicine and industry fit into the whole thing. sort of going on the whole healing/ascension theme, i guess.

i dunno. drawing pretty much sucks but i like the idea. i'm not done yet, obviously. i want to add more buddha but the lotus position was all i could fit into this by the time i realized that it needed moar gautama.

Not from my head, I drew my friend in art class. Oil pastel = insane fucking color. Definitely not finished. Turning in tommorow teehee.

Assignment: Composition of two or more objects showing the relationship between a grown object and a manufactured one.

My interpretation: Yeah, might confuse you, doesn't make much sense but I was trying to be as discrete as possible, literal art is obnoxious. The man eating the deer carcass is a representation of growth, which I take as non-man made, being only the essential of survival. The man on the table had expanded on this form of survival, creating comfort and in turn being manufactured. The blood and guts on the plate spilling into the carcass is a statement of the fact that it's still the same meat that they're eating.

I got a B at first, not enough emphasis on the actual meaning of the piece, the deer and the plate, so I painted out all of the other colors and just left the red, and in turn she gave me an A minus yay. I'll probably do more to this at some point, obviously the left page is unconsidered and adding just a bit of gray will probably do quite a bit.

Made Gifford say that my art is extremely illustrative, I don't see the connection, personally, but regardless, I'm glad that my art fits in somewhere.

crappy still life that I started today in 7th hour.

This is actually a sketchbook from 7th grade, I just painted over the animu drawings with gesso. The sketchbook is coming out quite nicely.

Least favorite of the bunch, did in the last 10 minutes of class. It's not really done yet, I guess.

Favorite. It has texture, good drawing, and great layering. It's just too bad that it doesn't look great when you take a photo. :\

Is actually a drawing from life, Gifford was giving some lecture on something that I didn't need guidance on so I drew her, sort of. :D

More observational, from same class, but still fails to look like anything that I really paid attention to...and this was...hard to do :( I have a hard time with self portraits. ALSO BIG EYE IN THE CENTER OF THE PAGE LOL

Shoobie Joobie and Joobie Shoobie, this drawing is somehow the aftermath of playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 with some children. We dragged two people to the end of the park and made a small path with a restroom and a couple stalls and trapped them. It was awesome. Their names were Shoobie Joobie and Joobie Shoobie. And so I drew Daniel, and the guy on the right is a ginger who I think I want to draw alot more cause gingers are cool.

If you can even tell what this is, haha, kudos2u. It's John, actually. From life again, but wow it's really off. I can't draw him or me, I can draw...well...nobody terribly well, though I do have a good drawing of Hasten.

Couples piece, was due today. I cut it on the sides, maybe added a bit more between the time I took this and the time I turned it in, but this is basically it.

I was looking at an old sketchbook and came across all of these really gay characters so I drew them being gay and this picture is just really gay. I more or less drew it for hypergraphiaa, two of her old characters are on the left AND YES I HAD AN EMO DOG ALTHOUGH HE DIDNT WEAR LIPSTICK I JUST MADE IT LOOK LIKE IT.

Already posted in my regular journal, still haven't touched it since then, but I still love it.

Miami art! Margo and I drew these on the Tri-Rail, hopefully you can tell which one I drew. :P It didn't come out how we wanted, cause we drew on seperate pieces of paper, I drew too big and she drew too small. Also, it looks like Mohawk girl is sneering at his clothes and Polkadot Dress girl is weirded out by how tall he is haha. And he is just awesome. Daniel, I suppose. Lately been drawing him with this like, Edward Scissorhands type undergarment that goes up to his neck though

Lol, John hated this. I think its a cool concept, haha I love his lower half with the crazy fetish gear, but umm yeah based off of the Borg from Star Trek! They are so fucking cool. I love their little cube spaceships.

Drawn today in Biology. I want to make something good out of this, I love the idea but the drawing is pretty bad. The only guy taht looks good is the one in the middle.

I don't know why, but I love this. I want to give it a background or something, I tried to make the body look like it was involved in its enviroment.

In my opinion, wow I improve pretty rapidly.
So much to draw, so little time....fucking seriously.

Done most recently, on the bus on Friday. He looks kind of warty and weird because of the way I did the shading in some places. Anyway, just some fun. Akeem.

I mean I've done tons of drawing but most of them are double-page spreads (as in they take up two pages of my sketchbook), so I can't scan them without actually having to try. Oh god I drew this one picture of a creepy fat pilgrim man groping this icky pilgrim whore ahaha it is the greatest, but too much of a pain to scan at the moment. >:3

STICKERS!!! I love those postal stickers oh-so much. And these three are kinda inspired off of Akira, incase you remembered the scene when Tetsuo walks out of the fire with that same kinda posture.

I drew his penis in there, but the scan didn't pick it up and wasn't really a big deal, so I'm not making a seperate friends-only entry for it. Something about this really bothers me, but it's cute, atleast.

Self-portrait that I did today in under a minute, hah. Never looks like me, though.

Drawn a while ago, didn't scan very well because it's in my big sketchbook which is really difficult to scannn oh god. Just Daniel in a tacky pose.

I like this, cut off his hand on accident, more from that sketchbook. Um, drew it during an art critique because FUCK, those are boring. :|

I've already completed two sketchbooks already this school year!! And now onto the third!!!

Ew, what. Just a little doodle I did today in openCanvas to practice painting-esque stuff wtihout using lines. It looks okay other than the fact that his lower half is totally wonked out.

The beginning to my sketchbook (it's covered in ducttape, my sister did it not me, i just stole it from her and called it my own), it used to be a picture of Marm in that slutty outfit, but I covered her head and ears and tail with those wonderful free postal stickers, and made it so like her head is missing because I didn't feel like drawing one at the time.

Daniel is so fucking amazing but this is kinda funky

Actually meant to scan something else, but the page somehow turned when I was scanning so whatever, this is just as good as the other thing. Akeem, smoking a hookah dur hur hur I can't draw hookahs and he looks totally messed up but its an awesome idea.

Christopher Brown!

It's really difficult to get good pictures of art the internet, or maybe I'm just googling something wrong. Anyway, I can't say this guy is a huge influence, because I just discovered his art book in my teacher's room on Wednesday, but fuck, it's certainly surprised at how much can be achieved with blocks of color, as opposed to lines, his art is more about shapes. And he's one of the only fairly modern artists that I can actually remember the name of, hah.

If I had to pick a favorite artist, it'd probably be Beardsley. His erotic stuff is really funny, and his more serious stuff is really eerily beautiful. I love the way he draws faces, he did alot of book illustration which I have a pretty prominent interest in.

Egon Schiele!

I feel like my art mostly goes along the lines of Schiele's, among the other artists I'm talking about here.

Zak Smith! (the only one of these artists that is still alive, if I'm not mistaken)
